Collaborations Workshop 2020 (CW20) - #CollabW20 | Queens University Belfast | Tuesday, 31. March 2020

The Collaborations Workshop 2020 (CW20) brings together researchers, developers, managers, funders, publishers and trainers to explore best practices and the future of research software.
The themes of CW20 are Open Science/Research, Data Privacy and Software Sustainability.
The workshop will take place at Queens University Belfast from 31st March - 1st April 2020 and will be a great place to meet many of the new Software Sustainability Institutes' 2020 Fellows.
CW20 will follow the unconference philosophy—where attendees get to to choose which proposed discussions get to happen, what problems they solve in the collaborative ideas sessions and which team they want to join for the Hackday. In addition there will be lightning talks, keynote addresses, speed blogging, mini-workshops on selected topics and a social programme to support networking. The CW format offers a novel way to support its themes which attendees find both useful and enjoyable.
The CW Hackday will take place at Ulster University and starts on the evening of 1st April 2020, which allows participants to realise the ideas coming from the Collaborations Workshop. Successful hack projects need not all be code—they can include any combination of software, specifications, guidance and other materials—, thus enabling people from all backgrounds to participate.
The Hackday will focus on topics related to the themes of the workshop. There will be prizes for the best team efforts. Remember good hacks are cool, better ones are potentially impactful.
