Bicester Speakers Toastmasters meeting | Bicester Council Chambers | Thursday, 03. September 2020
Would you like to speak better in public and increase your confidence? If so, please come to our meeting and see what Toastmasters do.
Bicester Speakers, part of Toastmasters International, is a club devoted to improving public speaking skills. The club environment is friendly and supportive and everyone feels welcome and valued – from complete beginners to advanced speakers.
In a club meeting, you practise giving prepared speeches as well as brief impromptu presentations, known as Table Topics. There is no rush and no pressure: the Toastmasters program allows you to progress at your own pace.
Constructive evaluation is central to the Toastmasters’ philosophy. Each time you give a prepared speech, an evaluator will point out strengths as well as suggest improvements. Receiving – and giving – such feedback is a great learning experience.
The club is inclusive; you may be an executive or a stay-at-home parent, a college student or a small business owner, all are welcome. You will improve yourself and build skills to express yourself in a variety of situations.
New members are warmly welcomed because we all remember taking our scary first steps on the adventure of public speaking and personal development.
Please visit us and see how fun is key at Bicester Speakers. You will develop your public speaking and leadership skills in a structured way, with the support and encouragement of a great bunch of people!
