VTCT Level 3 Swedish Massage course | Friday, 26. June 2020

Description:



The Level 3 Certificate in Swedish Massage is a qualification that has been specifically designed to develop your practical skills in how to provide the relaxing and stress relieving treatment of body massage. Underpinning this qualification you will develop a sound knowledge of health and safety, and client care and communication. You will also develop a knowledge and understanding of the practical skills learned throughout this qualification, such as anatomy and physiology. The purpose of this qualification is to develop your skills in providing body massage treatments to a high level of occupational ability, to enable you to provide your own services for clients.



Pre-requisites (entry level):



There are no formal prerequisite qualifications that you must have prior to undertaking this qualification.



Course format:



4 days + home study + portfolio coursework + case studies. Training material is accessed via our online portal.



Course content:



Unit UV30491 – Monitor & maintain health & safety practice in the salon



Unit UV30468 – Client care and communication I beauty-related industries



Unit UV30424 – Provide Body Massage



Start time:



The home study can be started at anytime, but please ask for course dates practical training element.



Attendance:



4 days



Duration:



Self-paced home study can be started at anytime and covers GLH (Guided Learning Hours): 141. (GLH incl’s. practical, coursework, case studies, assessments, written exams)



Model Required?:



Group training = No, students will work on each other.



One to one training = Yes, you will be required to bring a model along to the practical



training to practice your routine on.



Case studies = Yes, you will be required to work on models for your case studies.



Case studies:



You are required to complete enough treatments to cover the range requirements.

The VTCT (Vocational Training & Charitable Trust



Our students have been offered an amazing opportunity to apply as a volunteer at North Devon Hospice to offer treatments to carers and staff to complete their case studies.

Training pack (PDF format & word format) A coursework tutor is assigned to you for full support throughout the course. Personalised study plan tailored to the individual students requirements. A VRQ qualification is posted to you on successful completion of the course.



Additional Costs:



You will need to purchase your own products and equipment in order to carry out your case studies and practice your skills. We also recommend you purchase a text book to support your learning



Qualification gained:



A VRQ – VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Swedish Massage (QCF)



This qualification is mapped to the relevant NOS (National Occupational Standards), where applicable. This qualification is accredited on the qualifications and credit framework (QCF). This qualification is a VRQ (Vocationally Related Qualification.)
