Training aim

To provide delegates with a thorough knowledge, awareness, and understanding of all aspects of safeguarding children and young people.  

Training target audience

Multi-agency professionals working with vulnerable people in any capacity (namely children, young people and their parent(s)/carer(s)).

 Learning objectives (for the session)

Identify the signs of physical, emotional, sexual abuse and neglect.

Understand the difference between family support, child in need and child in protection.

Follow the correct procedure upon disclosure.

Identify your role and responsibilities towards children and young people.

Recall relevant legislation and policies.

Record information and know how to share it properly.

Well equipped staff in the field of safeguarding.
