Embedding Contextual NEA Skills into KS3 & KS4 Bristol | Friday, 09. October 2020

This 1-day course explores the freedom and opportunities open to students when working from contexts within Design and Technology. This can be challenging for teachers, so it is an opportunity to discover and embed key strategies for developing the skill set required by students in KS3 before embarking on their GCSE live contextual challenge.



Attending the course will allow:



Access to, and explorationof, a toolkit of suggested approachesto deliver D&T with a user-centered approach

Investigation of techniques and stimuli to encourage design creativity and innovation.

Discussion and advice around the implementation of contextual designing to help with the Non-Examined Assessment for GCSE.



Delegates will also engage in activities designed to support their own delivery methods in the classroom.



Live contextual challenges will not be discussed on this course in line with Awarding Organisations regulations.



These courses are scheduled to be run by the teacher experts who have developed them. They are relevant to all those either currently teaching or intending to teach Design & Technology.



Delegates that have not booked prior to the event cannot be guaranteed a space.
