Health Champions Network - Kingswood | Kingswood Library | Thursday, 07. March 2019

Health Champions have an interest in improving the health and well-being of the South Gloucestershire community. Health Champions speak with the general public, but also with family, friends, neighbours, or colleagues, in a voluntary capacity, signposting to trusted information, resources and support services running in South Gloucestershire to improve health and well-being.
Networks focus on: health topics; information on local services; and discuss feedback from actively volunteering Health Champions on their latest activities. Action planning forms part of the network, working together to plan health promoting activites, facilitated by the co-ordinator. Networks are laid back, but offer the chance to progress into further training, education, employment and volunteering. For participants actively volunteering a free level 2 qualification in health is offered. If you are interested, but unsure what you want from the process, you are welcome to join us.
The Health Champion role has become a springboard into some great opportunities. You never know where this may lead you!The Health Champions programme is a South Gloucestershire Public Health funded project delivered by Southern Brooks Community Partnerships across South Gloucestershire priority neighbourhoods.
