It is important that individuals and small businesses developing innovative products can protect themselves from copyists and imitators. Intellectual property rights, such as patents, trade marks and registered designs, can provide this protection. These free, 40 minute, confidential, one-to-one sessions provide advice on the intellectual property rights that will best protect your idea or business and how to obtain them.

All successful products have been developed via a systematic product design and development process. This process ensures that the product: is fit for purpose; appeals to a proven market; can be cost effectively manufactured and is innovative in design. This session will explain the process; highlight what to look for in a product design consultancy and explain how you can minimise your costs through doing elements of the process yourself.

Handsome I.P. Ltd offer the IP advice and a local design company offer the design and prototyping advice. These sessions take place at Bristol Central Library.

Handsome I.P. Ltd is a firm of registered European Patent Attorneys, Chartered UK Patent Attorneys, Chartered UK Trademark Attorneys and European Trade Mark and Design Attorneys. They have experience of working with start-ups and SMEs and are aware of the special circumstances such clients have.  They aim to provide IP protection which grows with the client.

The local design company has a team of product designers, product developers and prototyping engineers who are specialists in developing protectable products.
