Abbey Greens Open Day including vegan or vegetarian lunch | | Sunday, 29. December 2019

Our open day is a mixture of social activities and campaigning. Anyone with an interest in Green issues is welcome whether you're just curious or a Green party member.  You can come for the day, an hour or just for lunch.
The event starts at 10am with coffee and biscuits. This is your chance to catch up with local Green news or just mingle. There will be a quick update and then we might split into smaller groups for different activities or do training or a role play.
After a vegan /  vegetarian buffet lunch , we will head out for more active campaigning . Don't worry if this is new to you ,because we do training and pair you with an experienced campaigner. Then around 4pm we will head back to base for drinks and after hours socialising.
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
There is no minimum age requirement for the event and children and teens are very welcome.
If you are under 18, we ask that your parent or guardian signs an event form and that you are accompanied to the meeting by a parent or guardian or an ***** they approve . You can get an event form by contacting the organiser.
What if I have a mobility issue or other health issues ?
Meeting is on the ground floor with one step . Ground floor toilet is available.  Alternative activities can be arranged if some of the proposed activities are unsuitable for you. Please contact the organiser for individual advice and more detailed access information.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
We are on the citi 3, 10, 11 and 12 routes . The bus stop is officially called Malden Close but most people know it as "just before the roundabout with Barnwell Road and the drive-in Macdonalds".  Bikes can be parked in the back garden or fixed to the front railings. Parking is very limited and most people end up parking some distance away . If you are coming by car and have a mobility issue, please contact the organiser for advice.
Are there any other rules?
We ask you to sign an event form to show that you have read and understood the Green Party Safeguarding Policy- see www.greenparty.org.uk/safeguarding. for details.
How can I contact the organizer with any questions?
You can email me at naomi@rogerandnaomi.net .
What about dietary requirements?
Please tell us as soon as possible about any allergies or dietary requirements so that we can ensure that we have suitable food for you and no later than the Thursday before the event.
What can I bring into the event?
Please wear comfortable shoes and bring a drinks bottle to refill. Some people like to bring a contribution to the lunch which is absolutely fine so long as it's vegan or vegetarian and ingredients are labelled especially dairy .
Can I give a short presentation, publicise an event or circulate a petition at the event?
This is usually possible but please contact the organiser in advance so we can fit you into the timetable
