Bute Park, Cardiff Foraging Courses | Friday, 03. July 2020

Bute Park covers over 130 acres in the centre of Cardiff, making it one of the largest urban parks in Europe. The mixture of ****** parkland, woodland and riverside makes it surprisingly plentiful in wild plants, flowers and a variety of fungi throughout the year.

The course starts with a short introductory talk on what to look for, plus a brief of our foraging code. Then we’ll set off on a roughly 2.5 hour walk around the park and along the River Taff, teaching you how to identify the different plants, flowers, fruits and mushrooms that we find.

We will stop along the way for some seasonal homemade refreshments such as our lovely hogweed and wild garlic soup, elderflower champagne or fruit leathers.

After the walk we will end the day with a tasty wild food lunch based on what we have found.

There are limited spaces available so please book your place online.
