Success Profiles - Introduction to Drafting (Behaviours)

Success Profiles is the new system for recruitment and selection, in place across nearly 90% of the UK Civil Service. It replaces the Civil Service Competency Framework (in use since 2012) for selection purposes. Success Profiles contains five elements, which managers can choose from when deciding how to select for a vacancy. Having been a primary provider of classroom based for previous systems. This full day offer comprising two units is delivered for FDAlearn by ‘New Sparks’ originally delivered as part of our Welsh Government funded ‘employability project’.

The morning session will introduce the new system and includes some exercises around the new strength-based questions.  It is suitable for managers who will be required to understand the new framework but is focused on staff who will need to understand it when applying for roles.
The presenter Chris Park has worked with Government partners and the FDA for 10 years delivering various offers for over 20 Government departments and agencies. She is a CS ‘trained trainer’ for the new success profiles. Chris is also an assessor, interviewer and Quality Assurance Co-Ordinator (QAC) for CS Fast Stream and other public sector development programmes.
She has delivered seven different half-day units (two of which form this course) to 230 civil servants in Wales alone since April 2019. She has also delivered full day and half day Success profiles courses to and well over well over 1,000 civil servants across the rest of the covering 10 Civil Service employers since June 2018.
