Wiltshire Stop Smoking Practitioner Training - September 2020 | Wiltshire Council Offices Monkton Park | Tuesday, 29. September 2020

This training is for those working in a setting in Wiltshire where they are able to deliver a stop smoking service and offer one to one support to smokers who are trying to quit. Clinical supervision will be the responsibility of the employing organisation.

You must have completed the online National Centre for Smoking Cessation Training (NCSCT) Stop Smoking Practitioner course and e-mailed the certificate to us before 22 September. The training can be found here https://elearning.ncsct.co.uk/england . Please note that this online training typically takes people between 4 and 7 hours to complete. If the assessment is not passed you are required to wait 3 days before re-taking to allow time to revisit the course content.
The local training is a one-day course and is free of charge for those who are delivering a free stop smoking service in Wiltshire. This day includes guidance to deliver a stop smoking service in Wiltshire and will build on the knowledge gained from completing the NCSCT  Stop Smoking Practitioner Training.
PLEASE NOTE: Trainees working in a pharmacy setting will need DBS clearance prior to offering the service. Training can be completed before certification is received.
Failure to attend on the day with no prior warning will incur a charge of £50
Best Practice Events (half-day) can be used as follow up sessions to consolidate learning and newly acquired skills and experience gained  from seeing smokers in your work place.  Please book a place on Eventbrite.
Please note that in order to become a trained stop smoking practitioner as part of a commissioned stop smoking service in Wiltshire you will need to have completed both the NCSCT online training and attended this **** to **** event.
