The Bus Day is an interactive and fun event which is completely FREE! It helps you learn how to feel more confident and safe when travelling in the community.

The Bus Day is for you if you have a disability or just want to become more confident when using the bus. You will travel on a special service double decker bus learning about different problems that can happen and what to do to keep yourself safe. There will be different scenarios that will play out along the journey and you will get to see how to manage these!

You can ask questions and speak to TFL Mentors, Police Officers and Travel Trainers who will give you hints and tips about travelling in the community.

You will learn:

• What to do if things go wrong and how to get help

• How to deal with strangers the right way

• Who you should ask for help

Please ensure you account for alll staff members when booking tickets. The team will also be taking photographs of all the fun on the day! Please be sure to state if you would not like your photograph taken.

"The pupils were surprised by the actors and what they did so that had a lasting impact. The duration was just right for our pupils with a nice mix of fact sharing and role play.  The pupils responded well to the speed and tone of the teaching came away well informed." - Clarendon School

"Thank you for that very useful training. I would also like to thank the TFL people for informing us that there is the one to one travel mentoring available. That was great news for our clients." - Hestia
