Attachment in the Classroom: Theory & Practical Strategies for School Staff (2 part course) | Ealing Education Centre | Tuesday, 08. October 2019

 This two part training is aimed at staff in schools who would like to gain an understanding into attachment in children, including:
* Knowledge of the different attachment styles and why they may develop
* Understanding how to identify an attachment need in the classroom
* Start to recognise the behaviour of children with an insecure attachment
* Learning strategies to support children with an attachment need
* Receiving resources to implement strategies back in school
Part 1 will cover:
* What is attachment?
* Identifying the different attachment needs
* The attachment Framework
* What does attachment look like in the classroom?
 Part 2 will cover:
* Strategies for supporting children with insecure attachment
* Facilitating the optimal classroom environment
* The attachment support pyramid in schools 
Training Objectives
Participants will:
-      Have a greater understanding of the different attachment styles, how they may develop and how they might          present in the classroom
-      Feel more confident to identify an attachment need in a child
-      Have a greater understanding of the behavior of children with an insecure attachment
-      Learn strategies to support children with an attachment need in the classroom
-      Receive resources to support them to implement strategies back in school
