CPD: Educational Transitions into and Through HE: Developing Students' Learner Identities | | Tuesday, 12. November 2019

This workshop explores what educational transitions are and why they might be important to our understanding of students’ learning. Through considering some of the transitions literature, and providing space for discussion and exploration, this workshop seeks to enhance our understanding of concepts such as becoming, and students’ learner identities, and aims to deepen our understanding of how students develop through higher education.
Learning outcomes:• Reflect on your understanding of the concept of transition;• Consider theories, approaches and policy relating to educational transitions;• Evaluate the challenges of supporting educational transitions;• Consider your own learning and teaching context.
Before the workshop there will be two articles to pre-read that we will discuss during the session.
