The Great Yorkshire Walk in support of Hearing Dogs | The Gardeners Arm | Monday, 26. August 2019

The Great Yorkshire Walk from Harrogate to Ripley!
We would like to welcome all, including dogs and families, to join us to take part in a charity walk or cycle to help raise funds for Hearing Dogs for the Deaf.
The event is free but we welcome donations on the day. All proceeds will go to Hearing Dogs for the deaf.
Deafness can be a  isolating disability with the help of trained hearing dogs, they can make a real difference to the lives of those who are deaf. They provide protection and help save lives from danger, such as reacting to fire alarms. They also give back independence and confidence to their owners to carry on their life as normal. The dogs also provide great companionship and support.
Please join us to help to raise funds so that we can continue to help provide a vital friend for a deaf person.
We will be meeting at The Gardeners Arms at 11:30am to set off on the trial at around midday. There is a small car park near the entrance to the walk.
The route will take us down the old railway line, across the Nidd Viaduct to Ripley.
Arriving at our finishing point in Ripley around 1 p.m. where we will have a refreshment break. There are cafes and ice cream shops in Ripley where you can grab food as well as picnic areas if you want to bring your own.
From here you can decide if you want to follow the route back to Harrogate or take alternative transport back.
There is public transport from Ripley, please check bus times as it is a bank holiday.
The walk is around 4 miles each way and should take approximately 2 hours to complete.
We hope to see you on our Great Yorkshire Walk. Unfortunately we cannot promise you sunshine, so look out for the weather report for the day so you don't get caught out.
Thank you.
