About this Event
Flora & Fauna Painting Workshop with Watercolours
Wednesday 19th | 9.30-12.30pm

Family walk and workshop suitable for social distancing.
Make the most of Canalside Living, by taking part in a local workshop which explores the expression of creativity with watercolour.
Taking inspiration from both landscapes and riverscapes, your day will start with an introduction from the workshop tutor, as you learn the basics of using watercolours and the focus on the natural area.
You will then have the opportunity to connect with others in small groups, as you explore the scenery through the lens of a camera; focussing on how the composition, angles and lighting of a photo can impact and affect the painting you are able to create.
Please note that this is a painting workshop, not a photography course, and the focus will be on using your photos as the basis for your watercolour paintings.
The remainder of the morning will be dedicated to the exploration of your chosen scene through watercolours, with the tutor spending time with each painter as you find, explore, and showcase your personal artistic style.
9.30 am - 10.30 am – Introduction, walk and photo taking
