289 Cerner EPR Training - Senior Manager Overview 14/06/2019 | West Middlesex University Hospital | Friday, 14. June 2019

This course is aimed specifically at senior managers who need to understand how the Cerner system works and how their staff will use it, but won’t necessarily use it themselves on a daily basis. It therefore covers topics in less depth than other courses. Staff who will be using the system on a daily basis should not attend this course.  You will learn how to navigate around Cerner applications and gain an understanding of how the various parts of the system integrate. During the course you will be taken through a patient journey from an Outpatient referral through to an Inpatient admission. There will be a discussion about clinical information and how to view it.  Topics covered- Record an Outpatient Referral, schedule a new appointment, check the patient in; complete an electronic order for an Inpatient procedure (TCI), record the Outpatient procedure performed, Check the patient out; schedule the patient’s follow-up appointment, schedule the TCI date; Admit the patient from a TCI list, transfer between wards, track notes and Discharge as Treated.
