About this Event
Please note, this event has now been rescheduled for Sunday 6th September 2020.
Join us for the first ever Denholme Memory Walk, in support of Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice.
Starting and finishing at Denholme Cricket Club, you’ll follow a safe marshalled route of approximately 5 miles around the surrounding villages of Denholme and Cullingworth.
Following the walk a family fun day and BBQ will be held at Denholme Cricket Club for everyone to celebrate their achievement and to raise further funds for the hospice.
Registration on the day will begin from 12pm at Denholme Cricket Club, with the actual walk starting promptly at 1pm.
Entry includes a bespoke t-shirt to wear on the day.
If you would like others to sponsor your walk, you can download our sponsorship form on the Sue Ryder Denholme Memory Walk page.

Frequently Asked Questions
What happens now?
Once registered, each entrant will receive an email confirmation with more information, which will include all of the information you need on the day, as well as a sponsorship form to kick start your fundraising.
Do I have to raise sponsorship?
The cost of your registration fee helps to pay for the cost of organising the Denholme Memory Walk, which is why your sponsorship is so important. There’s no minimum sponsorship target, but every penny you raise will help us to continue to provide hospice care and support to our patients and their families when it matters most.
Can I get a paper sponsorship form?
Your welcome email included a Denholme Memory Walk sponsorship form for you to download and use. But if you’re unable to print this at home, don’t worry! Just email Ryan at email and he’ll arrange for a paper sponsorship form to be delivered to you.
Alternatively, you could set up an online fundraising page at www.justgiving.com and take away the need for a paper sponsorship form.
When will I get my Denholme Memory Walk t-shirt?
You’ll collect your Denholme Memory Walk t-shirt at registration on the day of the walk, so please allow plenty of time to register prior to the event.
Are dogs allowed on the event?
Well behaved dogs are allowed at the event provided they are on a lead and kept under appropriate control at all times. Dog owners are fully responsible for their animals and must clean up after their pets.
What time does it start?
Registration begins from 12pm at Denholme Cricket Club, with the walk starting promptly at 1pm.
How far is the walk?
The walk is approximately 5 miles.
How long will the walk take?
It’s difficult to say exactly, as people of all ages and abilities take part. We expect that most participants will complete the walk in around 90 minutes to two hours. But this isn’t a race, so there’s no rush!
Will I be able park on the day?
Yes, there will be ample parking on the day at the Cricket Club, both in the park and within the Club grounds.
