Children's Art & Wellbeing Club (9-12s)
This autumn, join our Children's Art and Wellbeing Club for 9-12 years old. Each term, children are taken through a range of creative lessons and activities, designed to ignite their creativity and build their character strengths.
Each SketchBetter class begins with a Positive Education activity (including meditations, gratitude practices and drawing visualisations) - designed to educate young people on healthy ways to look after their mental wellbeing, including how to reduce stress and build resilience.
Children are taught about art history, art theory and the creative industries, and learn about creative mediums, through practical activities. The club includes group and individual elements, and each class finishes with a peer reviewed feedback activity where students can show the group work they have created in their own time.
All children receive a sketchbook, art bag and end of term Strengths Review from their club teacher. Parents and friends are invited to an end of term showcase and join a family session on the last club week.
Wednesdays, 4pm-5.30pm. Term-time only.
