TeachMeet Blackpool 2019 | Layton Primary School | Thursday, 20. June 2019

Following on from the success of last year's TeachMeet we are excited to announce that we will be holding #TeachMeetBpool19 on Thursday 20th June from 4-6.30pm. This is a FREE teaching and learning evening - for all sectors of education.
FREE food and refreshments will be available upon arrival along with a FREE raffle and some fantastic prizes from our sponsors, more details to follow...
Our opening keymote will be from Craig Barton. 
Craig has been a maths teacher since 2004, working at Range High School in Formby, and Thornleigh Salesian College in Bolton. Four years into his career he was appointed as an Advanced Skills Teacher.
Since 2009 he has been the Secondary Maths Adviser to TES. The role involves curating and reviewing some of the amazing resources written by generous and talented maths teachers all over the world, as well as writing newsletters, building collections, and running @TESMaths Twitter. You can see some of his most recent work here.
Since building mrbartonmaths.com in 2007, his website has been used by millions of teachers, students and parents across the world.  He also launched my Mr Barton Maths Podcast in 2015, allowing him to talk to people from the world of education who interest and inspire him, including Dylan Wiliam, Doug Lemov, Daisy Christodoulou and Dan Meyer.
He is the co-creator of Diagnostic Questions. This is a free website hosting the world's largest collection of high-quality maths diagnostic multiple choice questions, and helps teachers and students all around the world identify, understand and resolve key misconceptions.
His book, "How I wish I'd taught maths: Lessons learned from research, conversations with experts and 12 years of mistakes" is published by John Catt Education Ltd, and can be bought via Amazon or directly from John Catt. 
Following on from Craig's keynote there will be three strands of 20 minute sessions to choose from including" SEND and behaviour, Science, Literacy, Curriculum, Maths, Well-being, Technology, PE, Leadership and much more...
