Female Production Workshop with Lotte & Nik Nak | Eiger Music Studios | Sunday, 13. January 2019

Join us for an open session, welcoming women producers of all abilities with Lotte van den Berg - Producing/Mixing/Mastering & NikNak. Part social, part session for sharing tips, we want to welcome all women down for a coffee to the studio. If there's demand, we'll get some instruments out and start to do some recording. Places are limited, click attending if you're interested and we'll be in touch nearer the time. --------NIK NAKNikNak is a DJ & Turntablist who specializes in playing eclectic styles of music in her sets. One goal of hers is to continue developing the role and general perception of a DJ/Turntablist by incorporating self-recorded soundscapes and multi-channel performances.She brings her experience in DJ-ing and wide musical knowledge across into each of her sets from continually incorporating a wide array of genres, to experimenting with new mixing and scratching becoming a DJ, NikNak primarily worked as a music producer previously named SinSam, and occasionally dabbles in production whenever she can. NikNak is also a qualified live and studio sound graduated with a degree in Music Technology and Innovation from DMU in 2013, NikNak has also studied an MA in Electronic and Computer Music at the University of Leeds. She has taught students at MAP (Music and Arts Production), The DJ School and Lifeforce Productions. Previously she has worked with Pedestrian, Dreaming In Colour Productions and 2FunkyArts in Leicester. She believes that music and its creation or manipulation should be continually pushed to further people's imaginations, both as audience members and performers.---------------------------------------LOTTE VAN DEN BERGLotte van den Berg is a 23 year old music producer, originally from Holland and currently working freelance in Leeds. Since starting her own record label, Sixteen Records at the start of the year, she has produced a number of releases, including the labels Vol. One compilation (). This saw her working with the likes of Imi, Hannah Slavin, LELO, Dokkodo Sounds, Regista, Jack Segal Music, George Gretton Music, EYRE LLEW, JOULE and summer she also produced, mixed and mastered her own band Luna Pines' latest EP, 'The House We Lived In' ().She has also been working with Manchester based Elephant Trees recently, having just produced, mixed and mastered their new single, 'Uncomfortable' (), and is going into the studio this month to produce their debut EP, alongside a number of other artists whose new material is to be released in the new year.ALL AGES/SKILL LEVELS WELCOME, LET US KNOW BY DROPPING US A MSG!
