The Prehistoric Society Europa Conference 2020: People and Society in late Prehistoric Europe will be held at the University of Leicester from 11-13 June 2021 (provisional dates to be confirmed). This year the conference celebrates the achievements of Prof Colin Haselgrove, University of Leicester, in the field of European Prehistory.


Confirmed speakers include: Prof Janet Montgomery and Dr Tom Moore, University of Durham; Prof Ian Armit, University of Leicester; Dr Vincent Guichard, Centre archéologique européen/Bibracte; Dr Mel Giles, University of Manchester; Dr Katharina Rebay-Salisbury, Institute of Oriental & European Archaeology, Austrian Academy of Sciences, Vienna; Prof Nico Roymans, Free University Amsterdam; Dr Fraser Hunter, National Museums Scotland.


Along with two full days of lectures, the conference will also include a half-day field trip to Burrough Hill (day of fieldtrip to be confirmed). In addition, the conference will feature exhibitors and a poster display. Those interested in displaying a poster should send a 150 word abstract to Annabell Zander (email) by Sunday 8 May 2021.
