The 3rd Cookbook Festival Supper Club with Lindsey Bareham | W4 1QU | Tuesday, 02. July 2019

We are over the moon to have Lindsey Bareham take the helm of our 3rd supper club. She started to cook seriously when she was asked to edit the restaurant section of Time Out and has built a reputation for recipes that always work, taste good and are easy to achieve, even by the most inexperienced cook. She wrote a daily after-work recipe for the Evening Standard until recently wrote the much-loved Dinner Tonight daily column for The Times. She is the author of over a dozen cookery books and also helped Simon Hopkinson write 'Roast Chicken and Other Stories' which has been voted the 'Most Useful Cookery Book Ever' by chefs and food writers. High praise indeed!
We will be eating Lindsey Bareham’s stress-free, largely make ahead, mid-week early summer supper party menu. Sounds divine!
On the table:
Moutabal over Pickled Cucumber with Gail’s-style sesame crisps (adapted from The Fish Store) and:
Crab Crostini (with red chilli, lemon, olive oil, and flat leaf parsley) (adapted from The Fish Store) 
To start:
Roast Tomato Borscht with Pesto Toast or Roast Tomato Borscht with Creamed Feta (adapted from The Big Red Book of Tomatoes)
Followed by:
Chicken Confit Renversee with Tomato Vinaigrette and Green Beans (adapted from Big Red Book of Tomatoes)
Vegetarian option: Roast Butternut Squash Wedges with Tomato Vinaigrette and Greek Feta
Finishing with:
Individual Strawberry Trifles (from Dinner Tonight)

We will supply jugs of tap water on the tables.
If you would like wine or beer, please bring your own.  We will email details about local wine retailers who will be suggesting wines and beers to match the food nearer the time.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? NoWhat are the seating arrangements? Will be sitting at shared tables, so if you would like to be seated with other guests, please email us to let us know by email: cookbookfestival@gmail.com and we will do our best to accommodate your request. There are limited seats on high stools at the kitchen counter, so please also email if you are interested in sitting here. What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event? There is street parking on Turnham Green Terrace and surrounding roads. The nearest tube is Turnham Green and the nearest bus stop is the E3, although there are plenty of buses on Chiswick High Road.  What can I bring into the event? Wine or Beer Food intolerances & allergies? Please let us know by email: cookbookfestival@gmail.com by 29th June. After this date we may not be able to accommodate any food intolerances or allergies. Please remember if you are vegetarian to let us know in advance - the menu shown above is made to order so we cannot offer the vegetarian option unless it has been the refund policy? As this is a charitable event.
