CREST Seminar: Helpful and Unhelpful Factors of Online Counselling for Young People | Ponsonby Room | Wednesday, 29. May 2019

Within the UK, there has been a growth of services delivering online counselling to young people. The purpose of this talk is to provide an overview of the findings from a recently completed doctoral research study looking at helpful and unhelpful factors of online counselling for young people (aged 14-18). The research also explores why these factors were considered to be helpful or unhelpful by young people.

Reflecting upon these findings, this talk shall offer recommendations for delivering online counselling to young people and considerations when working in **** to **** contexts.

Meera Dhesi is a recently qualified Counselling Psychologist. She has worked in various NHS settings and has a special interest in young people’s work. Her doctoral research was focused on online counselling for young people.
