'Everything is connected': Enrich school life through global learning | The Archbishop Amigo Jubilee Hall | Friday, 29. November 2019
CAFOD is offering new, free CPD supported by the British Council’s Connecting Classrooms through Global Learning.
This course is suitable for KS2 and KS3 teachers.
“Everything is connected”: Enrich school life through global learning, focuses on:
Responding to the values and challenge of Laudato Si’ by integrating global justice learning throughout your school.
Resources, strategies and activities that explore our relationship with our global neighbours in an exciting and engaging way.
This course will enable participants to explore and embed global learning across the school, with a particular focus on interdependence from a values-based perspective, as inspired by the inclusive Catholic perspective of stewardship and “care for our common home”. We will provide resources, strategies and activities that explore global learning (and in particular at least two SDGs) and the values of students, in a fun and engaging way.
As well as the day’s training, we will provide ongoing online and offline support to help you implement the learning from the day into the life of your school. There will then be a one-hour twilight seminar (date and time to be arranged in conversation with the participants, approximately 6 weeks later) so you can share ideas and feedback on the tools and strategies you have implemented.
