Indonesian Weekend 2017 | Potters Fields Park | Saturday, 22. July 2017

A weekend-long vibrant and colourfu festival of Indonesian food, culture and fashion, promoting travel to Indonesia by showcasing the best that Indonesia has to offer.

To promote Indonesia as a premium tourist destination, there will even be a BEACH CREATED from 50 tonnes of white sand to get people in the mood!

Among this year’s headline acts performing live are YouTube sensation Alffy Rev. Rev is a now a major Indonesian star, covering traditional songs and pop hits via his Launchpad synthesiser and will be our DJ live on the day.
Also, on the show will be the bamboo instrumental group Jei Angklung, performances of the Tari Topeng masked dance and Jaipongan, a traditional West Javanese dance. Martial arts guru and Star Wars and ‘The Raid’ actor/teacher Cecep Arif Rahman who will perform and teach everyone who wants to participate an intricate and entertaining routine.

Best Asian Chef of the Year and former Indonesian MasterChef star Chef Degan Septoadji will demonstrate an interactive Indonesian cookery masterclass on a journey through Indonesia’s culinary heritage.
There will also be several Indonesian street food vendors and traditional eateries at the event.

Top Indonesian design brands Elzatta Dauky and Indonesian Fashion Chamber will be on hand with fashion shows and various pieces and clothes to purchase in their pop-up boutiques. Brilliant graffiti artists Bujungan Urban and Smoke will demonstrate their particularly vibrant areas of expertise while Kent, Indonesia's best henna tattoo artist, will be showing off his skils with ethnic designs.
