Isle of Dogs screening and behind the scenes talk with animator Tim Allen | Trinity Art Gallery | Sunday, 22. September 2019

On the ocassion of UNITY Arts Festival, join us for Isle of Dogs screening and behind the scenes talk with its key animator Tim Allen.

A stop motion animator for 19 years, Tim Allen was a key animator on Wes Anderson’s latest film Isle of Dogs. His other credits include Fantastic Mr Fox & Tim Burton's Corpse Bride & Frankenweenie. As well as animating on Oscar winning Peter & the Wolf & Oscar nominated My Life as a Zucchini, he’s served many years of TV series work including Fireman Sam, Postman Pat plus Shaun the Sheep & Creature Comforts USA for Aardman Animations. Tim was Animation Supervisor on The Magic Piano & also the stop motion Club Penguin specials for Disney. Tim has an extensive background in teaching animation techniques for trainee animators of all experience levels. 
About Isle of Dogs
Isle of Dogs is a 2018 stop-motion-animated science-fiction adventure film written, produced and directed by Wes Anderson. Set in a dystopian near-future Japan, the story follows a young boy (Koyu Rankin) searching for his dog after the species is banished to an island following the outbreak of a canine flu.

PLEASE ENSURE YOU TAKE THE CORRECT EXIT FROM THE STATION. As you exit the main ticket barriers TURN LEFT - sign posted to ‘Bow Creek & London City Island’ - take the lift or stairs to the river bank. There you will see the iconic Red Bridge, cross the bridge and carry on walking till Botanic Square, Trinity Art Gallery is on the right hand side (red building). If you cannot find the building, ask for directions at concierge: Kent Building, 47 Hope Street, E14 0QG.
