Meet the Author – Elaine Kasket: All the Ghosts in the Machine | Theatre of Wine | Wednesday, 03. July 2019

We are kicking off a program of literary events with local writer and professional psychologist, Elaine Kasket, who will be reading from and answering questions about her new book, All the Ghosts in the Machine (Little Brown UK/Robinson, 2019 ). The book tackles the subject of what happens to our digital legacy when we die, and is a thought-provoking read not least because most of us will not have considered who owns all the data we entrust to cyberspace when we are not there to control it. Fear not, this is no gloomy read, and is in fact an empowering book that deals with potentially morbid subject matter with wit and humanity. Your ticket price includes a welcome glass of wine, readings from the book, and an opportunity to quiz Elaine on the book and her wider interests.
About Elaine Kasket: Elaine has published many academic journal articles and book chapters, poetry, and articles for the mainstream press. She blogs regularly on Medium and is a producer for the Mortified live storytelling project. She has appeared in The Telegraph, The Observer, the Times Literary Supplement, the Prospect Magazine podcast, BBC television, BBC Ideas, ITN Channel 4, the Today Programme, and Woman’s Hour.
