This course is for people who do not already have a GCSE C grade or above, unless it has been specifically required by an Employer/University. You will apply mathematical problems to a 'Functional' day to day scenario. Topics include ratios, fractions, problem solving, volume and area and work towards the City and Guilds Functional Skills qualification at either level 1 or level 2.  You will be required to complete and initial assessment before the course commences, to ensure you are working towards the correct level.
The assessment day will be 3rd September and the exam will be held on Tuesday 18th December. There will be no course on 24th September. There will be a break for half term on 29th October
