Intro to Macrame - jewellery and accessories with Jess Kemp | Curious? (Nottingham) | Saturday, 09. November 2019

Explore the knotty subject of Macramé to create simple but decorative items for you and your home. In this workshop you’ll be introduced to basic knots, explore materials and equipment and learn how a few simple techniques can creating a wealth of useful and decorative items.
After learning a number of braiding knots and different ways to use them, you will use your new found macramé skills to create piece of decorative jewellery, such as a necklace, bracelet or belt. There will be a variety of patterns to choose from or why not go freestyle to create your own unique piece!
All materials and guidance are provided, no previous experience necessary; and nothing goes to waste, you can use your practice pieces to create simple bangles and key fobs too.
Suitable for beginners and over 14’s
This workshop will take place in our light-filled and inspiring studios at Sneinton Market Avenues. We are centrally located with plenty of on-street parking (pay at meter) as well as several car parks nearby, and we are only 10 minutes’ walk from Lace Market Tram Stop and Nottingham Station.
Cost: £40.00 includes all tuition & materials and tea / coffee and cake (please let us know if you have any special dietary requirements or allergies when booking, as we don’t want anyone to miss out!)
