Championing Chatty Children
The importance of communication and language is central to young children’s learning and accessing the early years curriculum. This course will enable you to share with your Ofsted inspector how you are supporting language development across the curriculum and for the most disadvantaged children.
This training will build on our previous ECAT training and E learning module and explore further strategies to develop language opportunities in your setting.
The Department for Education have recently launched their national campaign ‘Chat, Play, Read’ to support parents on how to fit quality interactions into their daily routines. We will look at how early years settings can support parents to develop children’s communication, language and literacy skills and promote the campaign with them.
