Under 12s Coaching | Cow Rakes Recreation Ground | Monday, 22. July 2019

Two Sessions
We're now running two sessions. One at 5:30-6:30pm, the other 6:30-7:30pm on Monday nights at Cowrakes Lane Recreation Ground.
No need to notify us, just turn up. Your child(ren) will get coaching from two of Sitwell Cycling Club's British Cycling qualified coaches.
Chris Habershon is a British Cycling qualified Level 2 coach. He also sits on the National Council and the Yorkshire Regional Board. He has previously run coaching sessions for the Rother Valley Rippers.
Working alongside Andy Laidler – Andy is a British Cycling Level 1 qualified coach - they’ll be running coaching sessions on Monday evenings for under 12s. Starting Monday 1st April at 5:30pm and running through to the end of the school summer holidays.
Two sessions will be run. One at 5:30-6:30pm, the other 6:30-7:30pm.
Cost
We're offering three weeks free trial, then after that there will be a token cost of £2 for club members and £3 for non-members per session. In light of this we now have the option for under 12s to join us at Sitwell Cycling Club as a fully paid up member at a discounted £10 for the year.
Requirements
There’s no minimum age requirement for these sessions other than can your child(ren) follow instructions and use a bike with brakes and without stabilisers (A balance bike is fine for this also). These aren’t sessions for teaching your child(ren) to ride a bike, but to enhance their skills and grow their confidence. If you're not sure. Bring them along. We can provide advice and guidance no matter what therre cycling ability.
They will need a bike with working brakes and the bar ends need to be plugged. As well as a correctly fitting helmet.
The sessions will be run on Cow Rakes Lane recreation ground (2 minutes from the club's meet point) -
Safeguarding
As part of Andy and Chris’ coaching qualifications they’ve done safeguarding and first aid training and are DBS checked. The club also has insurance to run these activities.
We also have a Club Welfare Officer and follow British Cycling's Safeguarding policies.
So your child(ren) will be in safe hands.
