The Great Midlands Horse Show | Saturday, 04. July 2020

Two Days of Showing, Show Jumping & Dressage, Qualifiers for Equifest & Trailblazers. More information available at www.greatmidlandshorseshow.com.



The Great Midland Horse Show is being held on the 4th & 5th July 2020 at Onley Grounds Equestrian Complex



We will be holding showing, dressage and show jumping classes on both days. Qualifying classes will be held at various venues around the country, these will be published on the website.



We are also excited to announce that this year’s Great Midlands Horse show will be holding qualifying classes for Equifest and Trailblazers.



Showing



This year all showing classes are open to any non-qualifying combination on both days and can be pre-entered for £12.00 or on the day £15 .00. WH classes are £15.00 pre-entered and £20.00 on the day.



Again, this year competitors can qualify for The Great Midlands horse show showing challenge class, once you qualify you will have a free entry into Class 5 on Saturday 4th or Class 71 on Sunday 5th these classes will be divided if enough entries.



To be eligible for a free entry into the Great Midlands Horse Show Showing Challenge Class competitors need to be place 1st to 6th in any showing category at one of our quailing venues.



All competitors placed evening 1st & 2nd in any class on 4th or 5th July at the show will go forwards to the evening performance.



Dressage



To be eligible to compete in the Dressage each horse and rider combination must gain one score sheet of 60%+ to qualify at each level. There will be senior and junior classes, (juniors 16 years old as of the 1st January 2020). All dressage classes must be pre-qualified and pre-entered, and entries must be received by Thursday 2nd July 2020. All dressage classes will be on surface arenas, whips and callers are permitted in all classes.



Entry fee £18.00



How Do the Dressage Championships work?



Everyone competes on both days. Both days we will be awarding rosettes from 1st-10th in all classes.



We will also be awarding the champion of each level by adding together the Saturday and Sunday percentages to work this out. The highest combined percentage over the two days will be awarded the



championship and will be awarded a rosette, sash and medal, 2nd & 3rd placed will be awarded a rosette and medal.



Show Jumping



To be eligible to compete in the show jumping each horse and rider combination must gain one double clear to qualify at each level they wish to compete. There are senior and junior classes (juniors 16 years old as of the 1st January 2020) juniors riding a horse 14.3hh or bigger will jump in the senior section. Venues holding qualifiers will be added to the website in due course.



How do the show-jumping championships work?



To be eligible for the championships you will need to compete over the two days.



Both days we will be awarding rosettes from 1st-10th in all classes.



Overall 1st place points winner will be awarded a rosette, sash and medal. 2nd and 3rd points winners will be awarded rosette and medal. www.greatmidlandshorseshow.com



Points League: Combinations will be awarded point’s 1st – 10th placings on Saturday and Sunday this will give us the overall points champion at each height junior & senior.



Prizemoney: Prizemoney will be awarded for every 5 entries in each section junior / senior



Entry fee £13.00 pre entry £15.00 on the day



You can download your own qualification card this year from the Great Midlands Horse Show website take it with you to one of our qualifying venues to be signed by the secretary.
