Agecroft Rowing Club learn to row taster day /+ 6 week course | Agecroft Rowing Club | Saturday, 27. April 2019

Agecroft Rowing Club is holding a new 6 week learn to row course! We are looking for athletic and competitive women and men. 
We have a taster day on Saturday 27th April for you to come down and give it a try. We will run through land based training such as the rowing machine and basic exercises; on the water training, learning about the boat and will do a couple of competitions on the rowing machine as part of the session. The taster day will start at 12:30 (please arrive by 12:15) and last until approx 3pm depending on numbers that sign up. 
The 6 week course will then run on Sundays starting from 12th May (with a couple of weekends missed out due to members away racing, see dates below). The course is £85. Please be aware the course is limited to 15 people who will be selected based on the taster day. The course will teach you the basics in rowing, prepare you to join our Squads and start training at a competitive level. The course will run between 12.30 and 2pm.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Tram: The Boat House is just a short walk from the Salford Quays Metrolink station on the Eccles and Media City line.Car: Exit the M60 at junction 12 and follow the M602 to junction 3. Take the 3rd exit on the roundabout (A5063) and follow the signs to Salford Quays. There is no parking available at the rowing club itself, however, there is free parking available along Waterfront Quay and Merchants Quay and a gravelled car park adjacent to Beefeater
 
What can I bring into the event?
Spare clothes and shoes, extra warm sports clothes, waterproof jacket.
