Resilience & Personal Development for Counsellors and Caring Professionals | Central Sheffield | Saturday, 15. June 2019

Resilience & Personal Development for Counsellors & Caring Professionals
What is this workshop about?
Back by popular demand, we are running our selfcare event for the fourth time time this year.
Counsellors, therapists and healthcare professionals devote their lives to supporting others - and helping others support themselves.  However, too often we neglect our own psychological wellbeing.  Research suggests that while therapists appreciate the importance of self care, many know that they do not do enough for themselves.
This interactive workshop will help therapists go beyond the basics and take a refresher on how effective we are at self care and provide some tools to help improve the way we look after ourselves.  The focus will be not only on bouncing back and being resilient, but also stepping forward and growing.
A Certificate of Attendance confirming 6 hours CPD will be issued to all delegates on request.
What are the key issues that will be covered?
Key Topics for this interactive workshop will include:

Resilience - What is it? How can I develop it?
What practical steps can I take to manage my professional stress?

How can I use my caring role as a basis for personal growth?
Strength Based Therapy - the basiscs of a 4-step technique to help you and your clients.
What tools and resources are available to help me?
