Risky Play in the Early Years (Sheffield) | Sheffield Park Academy | Saturday, 20. July 2019

If someone told you to jump out of a window, would you do it? I'm sure the answer would be no, but why? As adults we have the ability to assess this risk to be too high and would undoubtably lead to significant injury or death. Risks are all around us and adults manage these on a daily basis. Children must learn this potential lifesaving skill to enable them to manage the risks they take during their lifetime. This training will explore what risky play means in the Early Years, the role of the ***** to support and manage risky play successfully, and so much more!
Objectives:

Understand what risky play is
Explore the different categories of risky play
Understand the role of the ***** to support risky play
To be confident to overcome the barriers and challenges.
