INTRODUCTION TO CAREERS IN PHOTOGRAPHY (AGES 13-18) | Youth Engagement Slough | Wednesday, 14. August 2019

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have a career in photography, video production or filmmaking? Look no further. Creative Campus UK invites you to discover the wide range of job opportunities available within this unique sector of the fine arts industry.
About this event
This workshop, organised by PS Spaces, will introduce participants to the technical side of photography by showcasing different videography roles and providing an introduction to working with specialist equipment. It is a fun and engaging taster day for young people, created with the intention of sparking their curiosity in photography and filmmaking.
Creative Campus UK is a NIAS project run in partnership with BBC Children in Need. Although this organisation is primarily concerns itself with African communities, the campus is open to all young people aged 13-18 that have a passion for working in the creative industries.
Learning Outcomes
Participants will get the chance to learn a variety of new skills from video editing to camera work. This will teach them how to design, structure and create content from start to finish. 
They should also observe the wide variety of tasks & responsibilities available in photography.
The Creative Campus workshops will also encourage young people to develop confidence in their career aspirations. 

Important Information 
This event is for young people aged 13-18.
We adhere to very strict requirements with regards to child protection and safeguarding. Our project leaders, volunteers & facilitators hold current DBS certification and are cleared to work with children and vulnerable adults. 
Lunch Arrangements: You are welcome to come along with packed lunch if you so wish. Creative Campus will provide some light lunch and refreshment, free of cost, to participants.
Dress Code: You are advised to wear comfortable clothing and shoes because you may be involved in action scenes or working with other audio visual equipment and this may include a lot of standing and moving around.
Staying Safe: It is very important that you remain within the venue(s) for the Creative Campus activities at all time. You must speak to the programme leaders if you are experiencing any challenges, get injured or are unsure about anything during the programme.
A timetable will be sent to you after registering. If any minor adjustments are made after having booked a place, we will let you know.
