MECC (Making Every Contact Count) is an accredited Public Health England course. It is being offered FREE to members of the voluntary/community sector. The purpose of MECC is to offer alternative tools on how we interact with people to address issues affecting their lives.

Attendees must attend BOTH half days (2nd October and 9th October) and complete an e-learning module in between the two, in order to gain the Public Health accredited certificate.
Wednesday 2nd October: This session will be focused on the theory and understanding of MECCWednesday 9th October: This session will be focused on the application of MECC in real lifeE-learning module: Alows for the understanding of the wider determinants of health and wellbeing, including socio-economic, cultural and environemntal factors.

Evidence suggests that the broad adoption of the approach by people and organisations across the community and voluntary sector could potentially have a significant impact on the wellbeing of our population. Rather than telling people what to do, it’s about enhancing the conversations we have and helping people to find their own solutions to their problems.
