In Safer Recruitment training you’ll find out about the legislation and practice guidance for safer recruitment.
If you recruit people who work with children and adults in your church, whether they’re employees or volunteers, you’ll need to take all reasonable steps to prevent and detect those who might harm from taking up positions of respect, responsibility or authority where they are trusted by others.

What are nine steps to safer recruiting?
Who is responsible for appointments?
How to ensure that there are safeguarding policies in place including a policy statement of ex-offenders.
Ensuring your recruitment and selection processes are inclusive, fair, consistent and transparent.
How to make sure there are clear job/role description, person specification and DBS checks.
