Thinking of returning to work but not sure where to start?
Join us for our fun, friendly and professional Back to Work Course to provide you with confidence and career advice to find flexible and part-time work. School friendly hours.
This course is fully funded (free) subject to the eligibility criteria.
This additional course has been created as we have had so much interest in our Back to Work Course in Tonbridge. The venue is still to be confirmed and we will be in touch shortly to confirm this.

About the course
This course will prepare you for the return to work or a new career covering employability and digital skills. Including links to flexible friendly employers, up to date career advice and confidence techniques to help find your MOJO back along side a network of like-minded friendly mums. 

The course covers a range of topics including:

Career advice and clarity
Find out where the flexible,part time and local jobs are hiding
Mananging your financial needs and know your hourly rate
Creating and updating your CV on and offline
Confidence and interview techniques
Mental health and stress strategies 
Different approaches to returning to work throuh your career plan (paid work, work placements, etc..)
Search engines and how to find flexibly friendly jobs
Communication toools with employers and collaboration tools with your network
Social Media platforms and business etiquette
The power of blogging as part of your journey
Create online accounts as part of your job search
Keeping safe and secure online
Connections to flexible friendly local employers

There will be some homework outside of the workshops. This will include completing workbooks, listening to podcasts and watching key videos to help you on your journey back to work (full support will be provided).

Prior to the course starting there will be an Enrolment day on Tuesday 29 October 9:30 to 2:30 and we will let you know the information you need to bring.
The course will then start on the following dates. Please note in your diary:
Tuesday 5th & Wednesday 6th November
Tuesday 12th &  Wednesday13th November
Tuesday 19th & Wednesday 20th November
Tuesday 26th & Wednesday 27th November
Tuesday 3rd & Wednesday 4th December
Tuesday 10th & Wednesday 11th December

Because the course is fully funded, you are required to meet the following eligibility criteria:

Be over 19
Live in a Kent County Council Borough
Be on a career break or unemployed
Or be employed /self-employed but earning under £17K per year
Have proof of residency in the UK/EU for at least three years

We have some fantastic Guest Speakers lined up for you to share their experience, tips and answer your questions.
We provide support for anyone with additional requirements and we welcome dads, non-parents and carers too.
