Preparing for Adulthood SEND Conference
(SEND: Special Educational Needs and Disability)
For young people, their families, parent groups, multi-disciplinary professionals and employers
10.00 am – 12, Wednesday 23 October 2019, Conference Hall, Brent Civic and tea from 9.30 am, with a prompt start at 10.00 am, finish at Midday. (Connexions’ Branching Out SEND careers event for young people will run 2 – 5 pm dafterwards in the Conference Hall)
Purpose:


To raise awareness of Preparation for Adulthood Outcomes in the context of Brent


To learn about national and local best practice in working with young people with complex needs 16-25


To give opportunities for Young People with SEND and their families to find out about what is available from the different services and to start planning/networking for their next stage


To launch the new Transition into Adulthood in Brent document
